I’m Penny Taylor owner of Taylor’d Bodies Training Studio.  I am a Health Educator, Personal Trainer, and Holistic Nutritionist. My career began when I was 12 when I went on my first diet and by age 20 I was a diet “expert”.  Then I got very sick and was diagnosed with a severe digestive disorder most likely brought on by extreme stress.  I was actually misdiagnosed with Crohn’s disease but that’s a whole other story.  I was frustrated by the lack of answers/solutions from the medical doctors and I began to research the healing quality of foods and the body’s ability to heal from the inside.  The more I learned the more I believed I could heal myself and to help gain more knowledge I chose to obtain a degree in Holistic Nutrition.

And since exercise is also so important for getting healthy on the inside, while completing my degree I became a certified Personal Trainer.  For many years I worked part time as a trainer/nutrition consultant and I began developing a health education program for women.  Not a diet but a lifestyle program, to get healthy and learn how they body works on the inside.  There was something missing from all the diet, fitness, health options out there and since I had found the answer to my challenges I wanted to help other women do the same.  So 10 years ago, from my basement suite, I launched the Body Rebuild Program for Women and Taylor’d Bodies was born.  With the initial success of the program and client demand I quickly outgrew my small studio in my basement and moved to my first location, a training studio in Port Moody which I had for 7 years and my 2nd location opened here in New West almost 4 years ago.

10 years ago it began with just me offering the Body Rebuild Program for Women, personal training and nutrition counselling and has grown into a multi-faceted health, fitness, nutrition training studio with 6 employees offering a variety of programs, services and classes to help people get healthy and fit.

From my own dieting experience, then illness came my passion for helping others to understand their bodies, improve health and quality of life.  And I have had the pleasure of helping hundreds of people do just that.
