At Taylor’d Bodies we offer a lifestyle consultation & several body assessment options to fully understand your health, your body, your lifestyle & your goals.  With in-depth knowledge of your body we can then help you taylor your goals & recommend the BEST options for you.

Basic Telephone or Walk-in Consultation
This basic consultation is offered to walk-in or phone-in clients. We spend a few minutes reviewing general information about our studio and services and will direct you to our website for more detailed information on all our programs, services and classes.

30-minute Consultation & Lifestyle Assessment – $40.00
A scheduled in-studio appointment, we review your completed Personal, Health & Lifestyle Questionnaire (PHLQ) and complete a basic body composition assessment. We discuss your health history, lifestyle habits, goals and budget so we can offer taylor’d recommendations for services that can help you achieve your goals.  If you choose to register for a recommended service, $20.00 of the consultation fee will be applied to your first service invoice.  Click here for our current promotion

30-minute Full Body Functional Biomechanics Assessment – $40.00

A scheduled in-studio appointment, we perform a full body functional biomechanics assessment. We assess your movement – walking, gait, posture, check for muscle imbalances (stronger/weaker) – flexibility, range of motion (ROM), limitations/injuries, balance, joint stability, core stability and strength. We then review your assessment and make recommendations for the BEST options to help you improve the functioning of your body for improvement of your health, body & lifestyle.  Click here for our current promotion

60-minute Consultation, Lifestyle Assessment & Full Body Biomechanics Assessment – $70.00

Just the Facts” Body Composition Assessment – $20.00

A scheduled in-studio appointment, we complete a body composition assessment:

  • Measurements
  • Weight
  • Body Fat %
  • Computer calculations: Body Mass Index (BMI), Lean Mass vs. Fat lbs. ratio, Base Metabolic Rate (BMR)
  • Calculation of daily calorie requirement

A personal report is generated with information on healthy ranges for goal setting and health improvement.

What is HIIT?  HIIT simply means high intensity interval training.  And with our HIIT TO FIT Circuit we’ve taken HIIT one step further and added “muscle confusion” as well.  When it comes to your muscles and cardiovascular system, if you break them down, they bounce back stronger (during rest)!  HIIT pushes your body (gently) out of its comfort zone, for short bursts of higher intensity intervals, and muscle confusion or changing things up frequently keeps you from getting bored and your body guessing at what’s coming (so no plateaus).  It all equals more results, quicker…lose fat, inches, weight, shape, tone and build muscle and get fit fast!  Come join us to try it out…

Our Team of trainers/instructors offers a variety of fun, high-energy, results-oriented, fitness experience…there’s something for everyone. All HIIT TO FIT Circuit sessions and scheduled classes are lead by fully certified Personal Trainers or Fitness Instructors.  Services are open to ALL FITNESS LEVELS with modifications provided and we are CO-ED.  HIIT TO FIT Circuit and classes are designed to have you work at your own fitness level/pace, challenge you and have lots of fun. Most schedules classes are small (max. 10) allowing our trainers/instructors to give you more personal attention, to help you get the most from every class.

Fitness Class & HIIT TO FIT Circuit Registration Policies:

  • Registration is on a month-to-month basis and there is no contract to sign or registration fees.
  • You can begin classes/circuit anytime during the month
  • All NEW clients are required to complete a Release of Liability Agreement prior to beginning classes.
  • Class size is limited and pre-registration for classes is required.  Drop-in is ONLY offered for HIIT TO FIT Circuit
  • For missed “scheduled” classes, a request for a make up class can be requested, subject to availability, and are not guaranteed.  Missed classes are not credited nor carried forward to the next month.
  • Prices do not include HST and are subject to change without notice.
  • If you are a SHIFT-WORKER or will be AWAY for more than 1-week at a time in a given month, please Contact Us to discuss options for your fitness class registration.

Personal Training

Our Team of certified Personal Trainers is exceptional at what they do and can help you reach all your health, fitness & body change goals. We will motivate, encourage and challenge you to give it your best effort each time you train with taylor’d results-oriented programs to help you reach your goals.

With extensive knowledge of how the body works and the best exercises and training techniques, we will “gently” push you out of your comfort zone, work through plateaus and focus on maximum benefits in minimal time.  We offer results-oriented training programs, weight training/body sculpting and combined cardio/weight training programs, using a variety of exercises, equipment and training techniques to keep the body stimulated and progressing towards your goals.

Personal Training Registration Policies:
  • For NEW CLIENTS, 1st training session is a full body functional biomechanics assessment so we can design a training program based on your body and its limitations, challenge areas and your goals.
  • NEW CLIENTS are required to review, complete & sign: Agreement for Services, Personal Health & Lifestyle Questionnaire (PHLQ) & Release of Liability Agreement (RLA) prior to beginning training. In some cases, clearance from a medical doctor, physiotherapist, or other health care provider may be required before beginning training.
  • When you schedule a training session you are reserving a time slot with a trainer on our training schedule. All training sessions are paid in advance as per the Agreement for Services.
  • Missed training sessions (no shows) or sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are not refunded, credited, made up or carried forward to the next month.
  • A $15.00 administration fee will apply for ALL training session change or cancellation requests when the training schedule has been finalized and invoice issued.
  • Training session prices do not include HST and are subject to change without notice.

For NEW CLIENTS, 1st training session is a full body functional biomechanics assessment so we can design a training program based on your body and its limitations, challenge areas and your goals.

Private 1-on-1 training sessions:

  • 30-min.= $35.00 /session + HST
  • 45-min.= $50.00 /session + HST
  • 60-min.= $60.00 /session + HST

Partner Training Sessions (2 clients train together):

  • 30-min.= $45.00 /session + HST= $22.50 per client + HST/session
  • 45-min.= $60.00 /session + HST= $30.00 per client + HST/session
  • 60-min.= $70.00 /session + HST= $35.00 per client + HST/session

Small Group Training sessions (3 or more people train together) add $10.00 + HST to the partner fees, for each additional person, per session.

Want to train at home or in another fitness facility? We can design a training program for you. The program design option requires a minimum of (1) 45-minute personal training session to review program. Investment for program design is $20.00 + HST

Pilates & Yoga – Classes and Private Training

At Taylor’d Bodies we offer Mat Pilates, Hatha Yoga, and Candlelight Yoga classes and private training for both Pilates & Yoga.  Our certified Pilates and Yoga trainers/instructors bring the best from their related fields offering taylor’d programs and fun, motivating classes to our clients.

Yoga vs. Pilates – what’s the difference?

 

Yoga is aimed to unite the mind, the body, and the spirit. Yogis view that the mind and the body are one, and that if it is given the right tools and taken to the right environment, it can find harmony and heal itself. Yoga therefore is considered therapeutic. It helps you become more aware of your body’s posture, alignment and patterns of movement. It makes the body more flexible and helps you relax even in the midst of a stress stricken environment. This is one of the foremost reasons why people want to start practicing Yoga – to feel more fit, to be more energetic, be happier and peaceful. The Yoga movements are performed, mostly, in a group setting with a Yoga instructor. The body’s own weight is used for resistance and a great deal of focus is accorded to the flow from one posture into the other. There are many different Yoga styles and they differ in their emphasis. We offer Hatha Yoga, the gentle yoga.

Pilates, similar to yoga, also uses a series of controlled movements. The main difference is the emphasis of the exercises to strengthen the abdominals, improve posture, stabilize and lengthen the spine, improve balance and overall strength. Pilates gives you a longer, leaner, dancer-like line. Pilates works the whole body, emphasizing control, precision and concentration in both the mind and the body. Movements are not performed rapidly or repeated excessively instead, the focus is on quality not quantity. The abdominal muscles, lower back and buttocks (“powerhouse”) serve as the center of all movement, allowing the rest of the body to move freely. This focus on core stabilization makes one stronger from the inside out and is critical for the advancement of the client. The low impact nature of Pilates makes it ideal for injury prevention and rehabilitation. Its six principles-concentration, control, centering, breathing, flow and precision-train the body to move efficiently with minimal impact on the body. The balance between strength and flexibility creates a healthy, vigorous and symmetrical workout for all muscle groups resulting in a leaner, more balanced, and stronger body.
